Indicators describe where price sits relative to its own history. They are not forecasts and not financial advice. Past cycle behaviour is no guarantee of future cycles.
Where the attention is measured
- 01What people look up
Daily encyclopedia page views for Bitcoin, Ethereum, the big exchanges and memecoins, in English and ten other languages, from Japanese and Korean to Turkish and Portuguese.
- 02What gets talked about
How many posts the big crypto subreddits get, from r/Bitcoin to r/BitcoinBeginners, how often crypto makes the front page of tech forums, and how many new questions land on crypto Q&A sites.
- 03What people download, watch and join
Where exchange and wallet apps rank in app store charts across ten countries, how many views large crypto YouTube channels get against general finance channels, and how fast big crypto Telegram channels and groups are growing.
Every input is judged against its own recent history, so a quieter cycle still registers when attention picks up. Attention during sharp price drops counts for less: a crash draws a crowd too, but out of fear, not euphoria. The exact method is proprietary. Each day's value is final once published.
What the score tells you
- 01Under 0.2 — quiet
Few people outside crypto are paying attention. Past bear market lows came in quiet periods like this.
- 020.4 to 0.6 — normal
Attention in line with recent years: crypto is in the news, but not the main story.
- 03Above 0.8 — euphoric
Everyone is watching. The 2017 top read 0.94 and the early-2021 run peaked at 0.90. Not every price top is a crowd top, though: the 2025 top came with social risk under 0.3, the public barely watching.

Fair questions, straight answers
A daily 0–1 score for how much attention crypto is getting from the wider public, judged against its own history. Near 0, hardly anyone outside crypto is looking. Near 1, everyone is.
Only free, public attention data: encyclopedia page views in eleven languages, posts in the big crypto subreddits, tech forum stories, crypto Q&A activity, app store chart positions of exchange and wallet apps, views on large crypto YouTube channels, and the growth of big crypto Telegram channels. The exact method is proprietary.
Fear & Greed measures how crypto traders are behaving: volatility, momentum, volume, dominance. Social risk measures whether the wider public is paying attention at all. The two often agree at extremes, and when they don't, that gap is information.
It's a description, not an instruction. The 2017 top came with the crowd at full attention (0.94), but the 2025 top came with social risk under 0.3. Use it as context next to the price-based indicators.
